Technology AspectTo establish a clear duty of care, Stellar Virtual and its affiliates require all employees to cover the costs associated with acquiring and providing the equipment (i.e., computers, internet service, telephone, home office setup, etc.) associated with virtual employment.

Position Overview

As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, you will help drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. This role is essential in helping the company make informed decisions, manage resources effectively, and drive overall financial performance. The FP&A Analyst will work closely with FutureView Systems, a leading provider of FP&A tools and expert solutions, to streamline our reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department heads and management to develop annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Investigate and report on variances between actual financial results and budget/forecast, providing insights into key drivers.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making, hiring approvals, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Prepare and distribute comprehensive monthly financial reports to department heads and executive leadership.
  • Develop and maintain cash forecasting models to predict future cash needs, allowing for effective planning and liquidity management.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and research projects as requested by senior management.
  • Continuously refine and improve forecasting models, processes, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy of predictions.
  • Assist in the evaluation of cost control measures, recommending cost optimization strategies, and making sure invoices are in budget before being approved for payment.
  • Work closely with various departments to gather and validate financial data and support cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using spreadsheets, FP&A software, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of key financial concepts and metrics.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Experience with FutureView Systems and/or QuickBooks Online is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a required background check

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, or related roles.
